Achimota Retail Centre (ARC), unveiled a bubbly package of festive activities for the Christmas season when ace actor and comedian, Kalybos, led the mall’s management to light up the 2024 ARC Christmas Tree last Saturday.
ARC announced an elaborate activity package which brims over with exciting social gigs and quality entertainment, all tailored for the pleasure of the different categories of patrons – particularly for families within the catchment communities.
ARC’s Christmas extravaganza lines up a series of open-air jams, Disc Jockey spin sessions, an acapella busking episode and a special live-band performance billed to celebrate Ghanaian farmers on Farmer’s Day.
The package includes some involving entertainment stunts like the ARC Christmas music video and selfie contest, a community dance-off show, a children’s ‘Sip-paint-and-play’ encounter and a Festive Movie Night.
‘This festive season, our main objective is to captivate our patrons with heavy doses of quality entertainment and spoil them with irresistible recreational options; this started the moment we lit our Christmas tree.
So, the thrill is on and will continue every day, through Christmas into the New Year,’ said Linda Pappoe, Marketing Manager at ARC.
Said Mrs Pappoe, “Our main objective this festive season is to captivate our patrons with quality entertainment and recreational options. The thrill has begun and as you can see from the line-up, there will be something exciting every day, until New Year.”
Recounting some of the highlights of the Christmas package, the Marketing Manager said the mood and ambience for the most memorable festive extravaganza was set on Thursday, December 5, with Open Air Jams at the food court area.
The tempo was raised several octaves higher on December 6, when shoppers and revellers at the Centre joined the rest of the country to celebrate Ghanaian farmers with a special Farmers Day Live Band session.
Then, starting on Monday, December 9, is an exciting social media encounter, cut out particularly for the ‘Gen-zees’ and young adults – a 20-day long ARC Christmas Music Video and Best Christmas Selfie contest in which followers of the Centre’s various social media pages will vote to select the best music videos made for the various shops.
Shoppers and visitors stand a chance of winning Christmas shopping vouchers if they post exciting selfies, taken with the centre’s Christmas decoration and tag Achimota Retail Centre.
The package includes a Carols Service on Christmas Eve led by the Olive Evangel Choir, a renowned Accra-based choral group, designed to bring shoppers together in choral singing, while December 26, ‘Boxing Day’ has been designated as the Centre’s Family Fun Day, dedicated to special entertainment for all members of the family.
Indeed, as the clock ticks towards Christmas day, the centre’s general ambience has been refashioned and caroused in dazzling seasonal décor, invoking a strong look, feel and sound of Christmas, with soothing rhythms streaming through the walkways from Open Air Jams.
“We are happy to present an entirely different package of entertainment and recreation which will make your time at the centre this season exceptional and memorable; in addition to all the fanfare and excitement, I’m happy to announce that following a successful Black Friday sale, our stores have restocked with new varieties to meet demands of the season and to enrich your shopping experience at the centre,” said Alice Coleman, Centre Manager.
“The Christmas season has evolved into a period in which love is expressed in the spirit of giving and sharing – among friends, family, colleagues and associates.
“It is our business to facilitate this aspect of the festivities, not only by making quality goods and services available to our cherished customers and patrons but also by providing an exciting and pleasurable milieu within which they may exercise their choices and preferences.”
