Ibis Styles Accra Airport City has held a Client Appreciation Cocktail event to celebrate clients and partners of the hotel for their unwavering support and continuous relationship.
The event also highlighted collaborations with clients who have positively impacted the hotel’s growth and success in the hospitality industry.
In his opening remarks, the hotel’s Acting General Manager, Shakti Singh, expressed his utmost gratitude to clients of Ibis and described the event as an opportunity to connect and work together in contributing to the local economy.
Ibis is a brand under the Accor Group, a pioneer company in hospitality founded by two friends – Paul Dubrule and Gérard Pélisson. It has over 50 hotel brands operating in 5,500 respective hotels of 110 countries worldwide.
He emphasised the hotel’s commitment that transcends the hospitality industry to creating nurturing partnerships which empower and build communities through their corporate social responsibilities, among others.
“At Ibis Styles Accra, we pride ourselves on being more than just a hospitability establishment. We are committed to fostering partnerships that empower and build our community,” he emphasisied.
Sales and Marketing Manager for the hotel, Elizabeth Agonou, has underscored clients’ feedback, collaborations and shared commitment to excellence in aiding the company evolve and offer the best experience to all and sundry.
She also commended partners and clients for their continuous trust in the Ibis brand and stressed that they “look forward to more years of successful partnerships, growth and shared achievements”.
As part of the event, the hotel took the opportunity to celebrate 50 years of the Ibis Style brand in providing exceptional experiences at affordable prices across the globe.
Mr. Singh touted Ghana as a country with good beaches, great history and being the most peaceful in Africa – but expressed worry about the level of effort dedicated to marketing the country to the world.
He therefore urged government and the Ministry of Tourism to intensify efforts in projecting and marketing the country to the world, stressing that “the country has potential to be on the world map”.
“I would suggest that the government of Ghana and the ministry advertise or showcase Ghana as a destination to the world, because it is not being marketed well. So, Ghana has a lot of potential to be on the world map; there are very positive things in Ghana which can be marketed worldwide. In my opinion, Ghana is one of the most peaceful countries in Africa – which is a big advantage,” he noted.
For prospects, Mr. Singh announced that in 2025 the Ibis brand in Ghana will be celebrating 10 years of operations – and as part of the celebration they plan to give a facelift to the hotel, extend their services and partner with more business companies.
He added that they will showcase more of the Accor Group and Ibis Style brand to the Ghanaian community and partner with business companies.
He urged partners gathered to explore new ways of working together in creating value, adding that their shared commitment to excellence will drive growth in the sector.
