Twenty-five (25) brilliant but needy students of customers of ASA has received educational support totalling GHS 25,000
Under the support, beneficiaries received an amount of GHS 1,000.00 to support their education. The students who were carefully selected were drawn from communities such as Mamprobi, Chorkor, Korle Bu, Jamestown, Sukura, Banana Inn, Dansoman. Kaneshie. Others came from Mataheko, Laterbiokoshie, Abossey-Okai, and Zamarmaline.
At a short presentation at Kaneshie Sabu Zongo, The Area Manager, Madam Celestine Ayivor presented the cheque to the students and their parents. She said the company believes it is important to support the education of brilliant but needy students, as it will in the long-run impact their families and society.
The Branch Manager of Kaneshie Business Center, Madam said this forms part of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) and assured of the company has continued support for women entrepreneurs. “We acknowledge the challenges single parents go through in providing their wards educational needs and we hope this support will lessen the burden,” she added.
A parent of a beneficiary student, Diana Opoku on behalf of all the parents, was grateful for this kind support and promised to put the amount to good use, so her child will grow to become a responsible adult.
