Employees of Olam Agri, a leading agri-business and supply chain manager in Ghana, along with staff of its sister company, Nutrifoods, held a day-long fun game over the weekend to commemorate the company’s 30 years of service in the country.
Organised at the JMJ Event Center at Sakumono, the games brought together hundreds of employees from various businesses and sectors of the organisation, for a day of friendly competition and celebration. Staff and management of the agribusiness company spent the day engaging ardently in a variety of games and sporting activities, including soccer, volleyball, basketball, cross-fit workouts as well as some traditional indoor games like Owari and Ludo.
The Olam Agri Employee Fun Games is an annual social affair, instituted by the company as an integral part of its commitment to promoting teamwork, good health, and the well-being of its workforce.
“For the past 30 years, our employees’ hard work and dedication have been instrumental to Olam Agri’s growth and success. This event has been an opportunity to bring people together from across our operations to celebrate how far we’ve come; to strengthen the connections between our teams, and have some fun, friendly competition,” Baibhav Biswas, the Olam Agri Country Head, said as he declared the 30th Anniversary Fun Games open.
“I am confident in our team’s commitment to driving our future success.” We are excited to contribute to the development of Ghana’s agricultural sector and look forward to strengthening our presence here and supporting the growth of our local businesses.” Biswas added.
Mr. Biswas strongly underscored the importance of such social engagements in fostering a positive work environment and strengthening worker morale.
As a prominent player in the agribusiness sector, Olam Agri’s success in Ghana stems from its dedication to creating value for farmers, customers, and consumers through excellent operational abilities and a commitment to strengthening Ghana’s agricultural supply chains.
