The Acting Executive Director of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), Abdulai Bashiru Dapilah ESQ, has been reassigned to the National Security Secretariat as a Technical Advisor, according to TV3 sources within government.
The reasons for Mr. Dapilah’s reassignment have not been officially disclosed. However, sources indicate that the decision was made recently, and he is expected to assume his new role immediately.
Mr. Dapilah had been serving as the Acting Executive Director of EOCO, Ghana’s premier law enforcement agency responsible for investigating and prosecuting economic and organised crimes.
It remains unclear who will succeed Mr. Dapilah at EOCO.
The government has yet to issue a formal statement regarding the changes or provide clarification on the motive behind the reassignment.
