Having a healthy population in a community is vital for its overall well-being and prosperity.
Addressing health issues early and preventing diseases helps individuals to be productive members of the workforce, leading to higher economic output locally.
It is in this vein that the Chief of Old Mangoase and Asafohene of Akuapem Larteh, Nana Osiabour Kofi Adu II has vowed to prioritise healthcare in his community.

He has assured the Mangoase community members of his resolve to give priority to healthcare delivery in the area.
Osiabour Kofi Adu, who gave the assurance during a free health screening, on the sideline of his 10 years anniversary, said he is determined to help address pressing health issues of the community.
“The development of every community largely depends on its healthy individuals and that is why I have teamed up with my traditional rulers to organize frequent health screening for my people to enable them know their health status”.
This I believe will help to reduce strains on healthcare resources, allowing those resources to be focused on other essential services,” the chief stated.
Gynecologist, Dr. Leslie Nii Odoi, who led a medical team from the Greater Accra Regional Hospital to undertake the health screening, in an interview with Onua TV, urged the people to desist from self-medication as it is detrimental to their health.
He also used the occasion to caution the youth against drug abuse, stressing on the rise in kidney failures and other dangerous diseases among the youth in the country.
