
Christian Rogg has been appointed the new British High Commissioner to the Republic of Ghana.
Mr Rogg will replace Harriet Thompson who will be transferring to another Diplomatic Service appointment. His appointment was announced on April 17, 2025 by the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).

Mr Rogg will take up his appointment during July 2025.
Between 2006 to 2009, he served as the Head of the Governance and Growth Team at the UK’s Department for International Development (DFID) in Accra, this role exposed him to Ghana’s political and economic landscape, providing him with in-depth familiarity to aid him in his new role.
Mr. Rogger has also held roles such as Director for Development and Open Societies at the FCDO, a position he has held since 2023. Prior to that, he was Director for Development, Parliament, Coordination and Capability between 2021 and 2023.
He’s assuming his new role with vast experience having worked with other international agencies.
