The Management of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has officially declared Mr. Ransford Fosu-Boateng (alias Scammer Baby) and Mr. Raphael Appiah Owusu persona non grata on the university campus.
A statement released by Deputy Registrar of KNUST, Daniel Norris Bekoe and dated April 11, 2025 said Fosu-Boateng was dismissed from the university on March 21, 2022, while Appiah Owusu’s dismissal took effect at the close of the 2023/2024 academic year.
Despite their removal from the University’s roll, KNUST said “both individuals have persistently and unlawfully infiltrated the University’s residential halls, engaging in disruptive conduct, harassing students, and committing acts of indiscipline that compromise campus security and order.”
KNUST said in a recent incident, the two former students were identified as participants in an unlawful assembly that resulted in vandalism and destruction of University property.
The university’s CCTV surveillance systems captured the actions of the students and were later confirmed.
“The University Management wishes to categorically state that these individuals are no longer Bonafide students of KNUST and are henceforth not permitted to access or loiter within the premises of the University.
“They have been declared persona non grata and are to be treated as trespassers should they be found within any part of the University community,” the statement added.
Furthermore, management strongly cautioned all current students to refrain from associating with the individuals, stating that any student found to be aiding, abetting, or facilitating their access to university facilities will face severe disciplinary sanctions in adherence with the university’s regulations.
KNUST said it remains committed to maintaining a safe, secure, and academically conducive environment for all members of the university community.
