
Ghana’s former High Commissioner to India, Ambassador Sam Pee Yalley has died.
He died on Sunday, April 6, 2025, after a short illness.
His death was announced by the National Communications Director of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi.
Sammy Gyamfi wrote on his Facebook page that “A great Man has fallen; a man who gave his all for the cause of the NDC. Heart-wrenching it is.
“Rest thee well in the bosom of your maker, Ambassador Sam Pee Yalley. You shall forever remain in our hearts.”
Ambassador Yalley was a respected lawyer, diplomat, and public servant who held several key roles in government. He served as Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the National Pensions Regulatory Authority and was later appointed Ghana’s Ambassador to India by President John Dramani Mahama in 2014.
