
Food lovers, culture enthusiasts, and anyone passionate about Ghanaian heritage, experienced traditional Ghanaian dishes during the climax of Akoma FM’s Ghana month activities.
Patrons experienced an unforgettable feast! The event, the first of its kind by the station, attracted many of the listeners. The event offered attendees an immersive experience into the diverse and rich flavors of Ghanaian cuisine.
Whether you’re a devoted fan of traditional Ghanaian dishes or eager to explore new flavors, this period made people experience an extraordinary culinary adventure.
The Food bazaar was more than just a food fair—it’s a cultural homecoming that honored traditional meals and time-honored cooking techniques passed down through generations.
From the northern savannas to the lush western forests, and from the bustling coastal towns to the vibrant central markets, the bazaar showcased a wide array of dishes that define Ghana’s culinary identity.
Attendees experienced a variety of authentic Ghanaian meals, each representing the unique flavors of different ethnic groups. Must-try delicacies include Omo Tuo, Banku and Tilapia, Tuo Zaafi, Kokonte, Ampesie, and many more.
With a diverse selection of dishes available, every visitor was able to find something to satisfy their cravings. Staff members were also dressed in Traditional outfit to signify the moment.
They also entertained the people with Traditional games like ludo, playing cards, draught, oware and others.
This year’s Ghana month series saw the station lining various activities to entertain our listeners.
During the period, the station featured diverse range of programming, including launch of Akoma Charity Foundation, special interviews with prominent Ghanaian figures, Asanteman Speaks, discussing on Asante and Ghanaian history and culture, and musical showcases of Ghanaian music among others.
The Head of Station, Ransford Nana Osei Asare, was happy about the outcome of the various events. He was excited about turn of events.
“I am particularly excited about today. Because we are actually climaxing everything we said we are going to do within the month,” he said.

“If we look at things we said we are going to do, by the grace of God we have been able to do it,” Nana Osei said.
He was touched by the presence of many of our listeners to taste our local dishes.
