
President John Dramani Mahama has sworn in Michael Harry Yamson as the Administrator of the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF).
The brief ceremony which took place at the Jubilee House on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 follows a unanimous approval by Parliament which was communicated to the President on Friday, March 21, 2025.
Parliament’s approval comes on the back of the recommendation by the Appointments Committee, which endorsed Yamson’s approval based on his demonstrated competence in the related role.
Michael Harry Yamson appeared before Parliament’s Appointments Committee on Thursday, March 20, 2025, to respond to questions from committee members.
The President expressed confidence in Yamson’s ability to enhance efficiency and transparency in the management of the DACF, which is crucial for funding local governance and development projects across Ghana.
The President wished him the very best of his endeavour and tasked him to ensure that funds are released on time and in full.
