
Brigadier General Glover Ashong Annan has been appointed as the Commissioner of the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) by His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces.
Brig. Gen. Annan, a respected and principled military officer, is expected to revamp the Customs Division and support the GRA in achieving its revenue targets as part of efforts to strengthen Ghana’s economy.
Prior to this appointment, Brig. Gen. Annan served as the Presidential Security Coordinator, a role in which he played a key part in national security and strategic operations.
His leadership is anticipated to enhance efficiency, transparency, and accountability within the Customs Division, reinforcing its role in Ghana’s economic recovery and revenue mobilisation.
President Mahama expressed gratitude to the outgoing Commissioner, Brigadier General Ziblim Ayorrogo, for his dedicated service to the Customs Division and the nation.
