
The Ambassador of Turkey to Ghana, H.E. Hüseyin Güngör, paid a courtesy call on the Minister for the Interior, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, at his office in Accra.
During the meeting, Hon. Muntaka expressed Ghana’s appreciation for Turkey’s support in various fields, including security and economic development. He also highlighted the Prison Agriculture Project, an initiative aimed at addressing the feeding crises within Ghana’s prisons.
The Minister emphasised the importance of cooperation between the two nations in areas such as counter-terrorism, cyber security, and capacity building for security services.
The Turkish Ambassador, H.E. Hüseyin Güngör reiterated Turkey’s commitment to strengthening its relationship with Ghana and enhancing cooperation in area of mutual interest.
The meeting paves the way for future collaborations, particularly in addressing Ghana’s prison feeding crises through sustainable agricultural practices.
In a Facebook post , the Minister said “Today, I had the distinct honour of receiving His Excellency Hüseyin Güngör, the Ambassador of Turkey to Ghana, at my office.
Our meeting provided a valuable opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue regarding the bilateral relations between our two nations. The discussions were centered around Turkey’s multifaceted support for Ghana, particularly in critical areas such as security and economic development.
“Such collaborations are essential in enhancing national stability and fostering sustainable growth within our communities. During our conversation, I took the opportunity to express Ghana’s profound appreciation for Turkey’s assistance across various sectors.”
He added “The Turkish government has demonstrated a commitment to strengthening ties with Ghana through initiatives that promote not only economic partnerships but also enhance security cooperation.
“These efforts are instrumental in addressing regional challenges and ensuring a safer environment conducive to development.”
