President John Mahama has signed a book of condolence opened at the Namibian High Commission for the late former Namibian leader, Sam Nujoma.
The ceremony took place on February 19.
President Mahama wrote, “Liberation Comrade, you have truly fought a good fight, and now is the time for the faithful soldier to lay down his arm and take a rest. Namibia is truly grateful to you, and Africa is truly grateful to you for the dignity and freedom we enjoy as a people.”
“Rest in peace, soldier, Sam Nujoma. Long live Africa and Namibia solidarity,” he signed off.
