Western Regional Minister Joseph Nelson is urging his NDC party faithful to be patient and manage their expectations regarding ongoing appointments.
Speaking to party members after a thanksgiving service at Makadarios Church, Takoradi Branch,
On Sunday February 16, Minister Nelson assured them of his commitment to the region’s development and wellbeing of everyone.
He acknowledged that many are concerned and eager for opportunities, but encouraged them to trust the process.
This call for patience comes as the region awaits new appointments, with many party faithfuls eager to take on new roles.
“We are all gathered here today with various expectations, and it’s essential we manage these expectations. As I mentioned to some of you who visited my office last week, everyone has goals they want to achieve in this government. However, we must remember that these goals won’t be accomplished overnight; they require a process.
If, after some months, you feel your expectations haven’t been met, while your colleagues seem to be progressing, please don’t let jealousy creep in. Refrain from making statements that could tarnish our party’s image.
As your leader in the region, I assure you that I’ll do everything possible to support the region and its people. Having served as regional secretary for three consecutive terms, I’m committed to ensuring the region’s progress and will not let it down.” He assured.

Lawyer Philip Fiifi Buckman, the Member of Parliament for Kwesimintsim Constituency, spoke on behalf of the five new Members of Parliament, promising their support for the regional development agenda.
“I stand on behalf of the newly elected Members of Parliament from the Western Region, representing our five constituencies. We have reached a unanimous decision to join forces with the regional caucus, pledging our support to our Regional Minister. Together, we are committed to ensuring the Minister’s success in his duties, driving growth and development in our region.”
For the 32 years old newly elected Council of State member Maxwell Boakye, also assured the youth of his unwavering support and commitment to the development of the Western Region.
He pledged to make meaningful contributions that will drive growth and progress in the region.
“I’d like to start by expressing my gratitude to everyone gathered here today, as well as the regional chairman, for this incredible opportunity. Despite my youth, I’m committed to serving you and contributing my part to the development of our region, just as we’ve envisioned it.
I’m eager to work together with all of you to drive growth, innovation, and progress in our region, and I’m confident that together, we can achieve great things.” He Mentioned.
