The President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Adongo Atule Jacob as the Deputy Acting Chief Executive Officer (Finance and Administration) of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA).
His appointment, in accordance with Article 195(1) of the Constitution and the Youth Employment Agency Act, 2015 (Act 887), takes effect from January 27, 2025.
A formal letter, signed by Callistus Mahama, Ph.D., Secretary to the President, confirmed the appointment, pending approval from the YEA’s governing board and consultation with the Public Services Commission.
Adongo Atule Jacob is expected to oversee the financial management and administrative operations of the YEA, ensuring efficiency in the agency’s mission to empower the youth through employment programs.
The appointment letter congratulated him and urged him to formally accept or otherwise respond within 14 days.
The communication was also copied to key government officials, including the Vice President, Chief of Staff, Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, YEA Board Chairman, and Public Services Commission Chairperson.
