President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Dr. James Klutse Avedzi as the Acting Director-General of Ghana’s Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), replacing Rev. Daniel Ogbarmey Tetteh.
The announcement was made through an official letter signed by the Executive Secretary to the President, Dr. Callistus Mahama.
Rev. Ogbarmey Tetteh has been directed to hand over his duties to Dr. Avedzi with immediate effect.
Although the letter did not specify the reasons for the leadership change, the transition is expected to ensure continuity and stability in Ghana’s capital markets.
Dr. Avedzi’s leadership will be crucial in maintaining investor confidence and overseeing regulatory operations at the SEC.
