Five ministerial nominees are set to face Parliament’s Appointments Committee today, Tuesday, January 28, as part of the approval process for key government roles assigned by President John Dramani Mahama.
The vetting will kick off at 9:00 AM with Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, nominated for the position of Minister of Defence.
Following him, Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum, a Member of Parliament, will be vetted at 11:00 AM for the role of Minister of State in Charge of Special Initiatives.
The afternoon session will resume at 1:00 PM with Adjei Kenneth Gilbert, who has been designated as the Minister for Works, Housing, and Water Resources.
At 3:00 PM, Linda Obenewaa Akweley Ocloo, MP, will take the spotlight as the nominee for Greater Accra Regional Minister.
Rounding off the day’s vetting process at 5:00 PM will be Charity Gardiner, who has been nominated for the role of Ahafo Regional Minister.
