Seventy (70) supporters of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) arrested across the country for various infractions have been granted police enquiry bail.
According to the Ghana Police Service one hundred and twenty-three (123) people who were arrested across the country in the aftermath of the December 7 polls, are being taken through due processes of the law.
Out of the number, forty-nine (49) suspects have been processed for court while 16 have been granted bail.
Another thirty-three (33) have been remanded into Police and prison custodies to reappear before the courts at a later date.
Giving an update on the security situation in the wake of attacks on government agencies Thursday night, Police Head of Public Affairs Directorate, ACP Grace Ansah -Akrofi said within the last 24 hours, four more suspects arrested are currently in Police custody and would be processed for court on Friday, December 13, 2024.
Meanwhile, the Police say news about the missing NDC Effutu Constituency Vice Chairman, Abraham Ato Annan is not true, urging the public to disregard such misinformation.
According to the Police Mr Abraham Ato is in good health.
