Incoming NDC government will ensure accountability – Dr Samuel Sarpong

The First National Vice,  Chairman of the National Democratic Congress ( NDC), Dr Samuel Sarpong has assured that , the Incoming NDC Government will ensure accountability.

According to him,the  New Patriotic Party (NPP) government has wasted our resources and the NDC Government will investigate it.

“This Incoming Government is going to ensure accountability. And for that matter, any person/ Official who was in the previous Government, who thinks that he/she has embezzled Ghanaians’ money should be prepared to face the law.

“As of now, I can use one company, that’s State Housing Company Limited. It is a Government company, but the way and manner the Managing Director used that company for his party benefit I mean it is very versatile sad.

The company was used as a conduit where they were syphoning money for NPP’s agenda.

Dr Sarpong said corruption must not be tolerated under any circumstances. The incoming administration has a duty to investigate and prosecute officials from the outgoing government who misused public funds, regardless of their rank or political affiliation. Those responsible for causing financial losses to the state must face swift and transparent justice. Allegations of financial misconduct within the current government must be thoroughly examined, and all questionable deals must be scrutinized and prosecuted where wrongdoing is found.
