The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has told all of its supporters not to attack any state institution.
The party also asked the supporters be moderate in their celebration of the victory of the party in the presidential and parliamentary elections.
The National Communications Officer of the NDC says two NDC supporters have been murdered at Akomadan in relation to the excess in the elections.
Addressing the media in Accra on Monday Sammy Gyamfi said “Exercise restraint in your celebration, we must show that we are responsible citizens, you can’t engage in vandalism, attack or looting state properties is against the law, ours is law law-abiding party. We want you to live to see Mahama sworn into office.”
“Don’t attack any state institution, jubilate responsibly,” he added.
Although the Electoral Commission is yet to announce the official results, the presidential candidate of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has conceded defeat to the candidate of the NDC John Dramani Mahama.
