“Ladies and Gentlemen, the time to rest Ghana is now. This election is a defining moment for our nation,” he said on December 5, 2024.
Despite the Ashanti Region being the stronghold of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Mahama who has just completed his campaign in the Region said he is hopeful of a “surprise” in the Region after Saturday’s polls.
“On Saturday you are going to be surprised about what is going to come from the Ashanti Region,” he added.
John Mahama assured that his government will ensure “true equality and representation of women” if the party wins the elections and makes history about Ghana’s first female Vice President.
