The Chiefs, Oulama and opinion leaders from the Zongo community in the Manhyia South constituency have honoured the running mate of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh for his stewardship as their Member of Parliament.
Speaking during the Community Engagement with tribal chiefs at Moshie Hene’s Palace in Alabar in the Manhyia South Constituency, NAPO explained that the essence of the political enterprise is to serve and make a meaningful difference.
The Tribal Chiefs of Manhyia South constituency praised Dr. Prempeh for his exceptional leadership and immense contributions towards the holistic development of the constituency.
Kumasi Moshie Chief, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdul Rahman Adam Sanfo III presented a citation to the NPP running mate and thanked him immensely for the support given to the Muslim community, including pilgrimage to Hajj, support their children to further their education and a number of developments initiated in the Zongo community.
He wished him well on his next appointment and pledged their support for him on his all activities.
Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Zongo brothers and sisters for recognizing and appreciating his modest contributions.
He pledged to continue to do more because this is his calling. He reminded them that the NPP is a truly national party, built on the foundation of religious harmony, as reflected in their presidential ticket and overall conduct.
“I am encouraged by the resolve by the Muslim brothers and sisters to vote massively for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the NPP, inspired by their commitment to inclusivity and religious tolerance,” he said.
Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh also met with the leadership of the progressive transport Owners Association (PROTOA) in Kumasi. He thanked the drivers for their support over the years.
He also stormed Adum and the Kejetia market came alive. He was inspired by the sheer determination of Asanteman “to protect and consolidate our gains on Saturday” and reminded them that, “the first name on the ballot is Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.”
