President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has urged Ghanaians to vote for the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr Mahamudu Bawumia on December 7.
He says Dr Bawumia will perform better than the candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), former President John Dramanai Mahama.
President Akufo-Addo accused Mr Mahama of performing poorly when he was in office and hence should not be voted for again.
He said this while speaking at a gathering of professional bodies in Kumasi on Sunday, November 24.
“We have two people who are in the race. One, a failed president and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. There are four other people who have had the blessing of the Almighty and the support of the people of Ghana to become presidents of Ghana.
“Jerry John Rawlings, John Agyekum Kufuor, John Dramani Mahama, and myself. Of all these, Jerry John Rawlings had a second term, John Agyekum Kufuor had a second term, and Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo had a second term.
“The only one who was not given a second term was John Dramani Mahama and the reason is that he did a poor job.”
