It is within a melancholic state-of-mind that we consciously mourn the tragic demise of an astute public servant, and — from first-hand personal experience — an intuitive public-relations-collaborator, in whom I eventually discovered a genuinely purposeful and dynamic friendship, through Ghana’s grueling premier post-pandemic political campaign; Mawuena Trebarh (née Dumor) — a shrewd investor and courageous geologist.
As the trailblazing pioneer female Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre — and throughout her thrilling career — Mrs. Trebarh consistently demonstrated exemplary corporate leadership, with acute finesse.
Her impetus was always a profound sense of duty; she did not struggle for personal empowerment, but for the privilege to serve Ghana, which implies ingenuous selflessness.
During her stint, as deputy spokesperson of the John Mahama and National Democratic Congress Election (NDC) 2020 campaign, Mrs. Trebarh labored assiduously for the long-term success of the congress and influenced many significant developments.
Everyone — family, friends and acquaintances — whose life was touched by Mrs. Trebarh (née Dumor) will be diminished by having to live in a Ghana without her. She perpetually pondered over the destiny of the party.
Her legacy shall continue to inspire generations unborn.
Rest in Peace, Mawuena Trebarh (née Dumor).
