The upcoming CAF Coaches Symposium is set to be a landmark event in African football, bringing together some of the continent’s most accomplished coaches.
Headlining the symposium is Emerse Faé, the mastermind behind Côte d’Ivoire’s incredible turnaround at the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Côte d’Ivoire 2023.
The event is scheduled to take place on September 12-13, 2024, a Thursday and Friday, in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. It will bring together 50 coaches from CAF’s Member Associations, fostering an environment of learning and collaboration.
The symposium will feature an impressive lineup of coaching talent. Alongside Emerse Faé from Côte d’Ivoire, attendees will include Jose Peseiro, the former Nigeria head coach; Avram Grant, currently leading Zambia; Sebastien Desabre from DR Congo; Nana Otto Oddo representing Ghana; and Collin Benjamin from Namibia.
The primary focus of the symposium will be an in-depth analysis of National Team performances during the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Côte d’Ivoire 2023.
This tournament is widely regarded as the most successful AFCON in the competition’s history, making it a rich source of insights and learning opportunities for attendees.
The event will be inaugurated by a distinguished panel, including CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe, Ivorian government officials, and FIF President Yacine Idriss Diallo.
