The Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has condemned any attack on journalists by supporters of political parties.
He said such acts undermine democracy.
“I don’t think anyone should attack a member of the press for doing their job. That will undermine democracy” he said during a media encounter in Accra on August 24.
The Ghana Journalists Association has had cause to complain about the maltreatment of journalists in the like of work. The Association had cause to blacklist, the MPs for Yendi and Awutu Senya East, Farouk Aliu Mahama and Hawa Koomson respectively in this regard.
