Running mate to the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has said that the proposed women’s deployment bank is here to empower female entrepreneurs.
She says it is also to support small business owners by providing them with low-interest loans, financial education, and sustainable support.
“The women’s deployment bank is here to empower female entrepreneurs and small business owners by providing low-interest loans, financial education, and sustainable support,” she said during the launch of the NDC manifesto at Winneba on Saturday August 24.
For his part, the flagbearer of the NDC, John Dramani Mahama has promised in the NDC manifesto that they will ban issuance of new mining leases and activities in forest reserves.
He also says they will amend the Mineral and Mining Law to impose stiffer punishment on mining in water bodies.
He said these while launching NDC 2024 manifesto on Saturday August 24 at Winneba.

Implement a Blue Water Initiative to heal and harness the environment by turning areas and water bodies degraded by illegal mining into hubs of economic and ecological recovery.
