Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has expressed his desire to win every trophy in the upcoming season.
Onana had a debut season to forget when he joined Manchester United from Inter Milan where he conceded too many goals per his own standards.
However, the team culminated their atrocious run with the prestigious FA Cup trophy.
When Andre Onana joined Manchester United, he arrived with a notable reputation, having been named UEFA Champions League Goalkeeper of the Season with Inter Milan after their run to the final, where they were narrowly defeated by Manchester City.
However, a series of underwhelming performances led to significant criticism from both pundits and fans, tarnishing the former Ajax goalkeeper’s early impact at United.
Onana has now revealed how he is working to avenge his reputation and admits he would want to win every trophy available this season.
“I want to win everything, it’s a big revenge for me this season so it’s going to be exciting,” he said.
Onana was however quick to shut down statements about him wanting to prove a point this season.
“Not to prove because I know who I am, if I have to prove to anyone who I am, it has to be myself. Because I know where I’m coming from, I came to Manchester United as the best goalie in the world, it wasn’t the season I wanted, but I feel home this season so let’s see how it’s going to be,” he added.
