Reggae Dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy has assured his fans he will grab more songwriter of the year award in the future.
His promise comes on the back of his hit track ‘Manodzi’ winning him the songwriter of the year award at the recent 25th TGMA.
The two-time Artiste of the Year winner made this promise while speaking in an interview with Berla Mundi on tv3, Friday, June 7.
Stonebwoy believes he is one of the best songwriters in the music industry and deserves more accolades for that.
“I’m happy that finally, eventually more of song writership is going to come to me because I am one of the good songwriters in this place, like factually,” he stated.
Responding to his Artiste of the Year award, Stonebwoy applauded himself for grabbing the prestigious award at the recent 25th TGMA.
The two-time winner of the award in an interview with Berla Mundi recounted winning the award in 2015 and claimed to have also won it in 2019 although it was not announced.

After his recent win this year, the time difference in between the years he has won the award, if his assertion is anything to go by is a five-year span.
Per this notion, the ‘Overlord’ hitmaker claimed that he “feels like every five years, I come back to win Artiste of the Year”.
“From 2015 when I won, I came back for it in 2019 and I won it in 2024 who knows [maybe the next five years, I will win],” Stonebwoy asserted.
Stonebwoy earned 13 nominations for the 25th TGMA and won 6 awards including songwriter of the year, Reggae Dancehall artiste of the year and the Artiste of the Year awards.
