Ghanaian Afrobeats dancers, Afronitaa and Abigail, winner of Talented Kidz Season 14 raised Ghana’s flag high on Sunday, June 2 when they secured the third spot at the just-ended series 17 of Britain’s Got Talent.
Congratulatory messages poured in for the duo for their remarkable achievement which earned them accolades from former president and NDC Flagbearer John Mahama.
Dance teacher Afronita, 20, and her protege Abigail, seven, were among 11 finalists, including a choir, a magician, and a Japanese skipping group.
Singer Sydnie Christmas took the top prize, followed by Jack Rhodes, a magician in second place, and Abigail and Afronita in third.
The voting percentages for the finals were revealed on BGT’s itv website.
Below is the voting percentages which got the Ghanaian dancers the third spot
Sydnie Christmas (singer) – 27.2%
Jack Rhodes (magician) – 15.8%
Abigail & Afronitaaa (dancing duo) – 10.4%
Innocent Masuku (singer) – 8.8%
The Trickstars (dancing dog act) – 8.4%
Trixy (magician) – 5.9%
Mike Woodhams (singing impersonator) – 5.4%
Alex Mitchell (comedian) – 5.3%
Northants Sings Out (choir) – 4.9%
Ssaulabi Performance Troupe – 4.8%
Haribow (double dutch group) – 3.1%
