Chelsea chairman Todd Boehly expressed confidence in the club’s trajectory, citing their recent performances as evidence that the team is progressing under manager Mauricio Pochettino.
The Blues have been on an upward trend, remaining unbeaten in their last three matches, including wins against West Ham and Tottenham, as well as a hard-fought draw against Aston Villa. These results have propelled Chelsea to seventh place in the Premier League standings, positioning them well for potential European football next season.
Boehly, who had faced criticism from supporters’ believes that the recent string of positive results indicates that the club’s plans are beginning to materialise.
Speaking at a Sportico conference in Los Angeles, he emphasized the fluidity and organization displayed by the team in their recent matches.
“We’ve seen… where we played beautiful football. It was so fluid, it was exactly the way we drew it up,” Boehly stated, highlighting the progress made under Pochettino’s guidance.

“In those two and a half games, you could really start to see what we were working on coming together.”
Despite the improved performances, questions linger over Pochettino’s future at Stamford Bridge. While the Argentine signed a two-year deal with the club last summer, he recently stated that he has received no assurances about his future.
Chelsea’s upcoming fixtures against Nottingham Forest, Brighton, and Bournemouth will provide further opportunities for the team to solidify their position and continue their positive momentum.
Currently positioned seventh on the table, the Blues have accumulated 54 points after 35 games. They have won 15 games, drawn nine and suffered 11 defeats.
However, some fans remain concerned about the club’s failure to secure Champions League football despite significant investment in the squad over the past two seasons.
