Teenage sensation, Lamine Yamal says he is confident of scoring his first goal in the UEFA Champions League when Barcelona travel to PSG in their first-leg quarter final clash.
Yamal has been impressive for Barcelona this season and has stamped his place as one of the key players in the Catalan side.
However, at 16 years old, his aspirations and ambitions do not end there. He is hopeful that he will grab his first Champions League goal in France in the quarter-final to give Barcelona the advantage ahead of the second leg in Spain, as the Catalans eye their first title in nine years in Europe.
“I can’t wait for my first quarter-finals in UCL. Sometimes I think about how crazy is this when I’m in my room…In my opinion, we’ll win 1-0 in Paris on Wednesday. Who scores? Me!”, he told Spanish media outlet told Mundo Deportivo.
Unbeaten in their last 12 matches in all competitions, Barcelona will take on PSG on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, in hopes of getting a favourable result away from home.
Also, the last time the Catalans played a Champions League knockout game was in the 2020/2021 season against PSG, but the Blaugrana will be hoping that their 5-2 aggregate loss three years ago does not repeat itself.
