BET Award-winner and Afropop singer, Stonebwoy will headline the closing ceremony of the 2023 African Games on Saturday, March 23 at the University of Ghana Sports stadium.
The Ghanaian international artist, who is well-known for his worldwide chart-topping tunes “Into the Future” and “Activate,” will enthrall thousands of fans with his exuberance and distinctive blend of dancehall, reggae, and afrobeats on the night of the closing ceremony.
Other artists billed for the ceremony include; Wiyaala, Stanley Enow and others.
According to Stonebwoy, he finds it an honour to be chosen to perform at the closing ceremony of the 2023 African Games.
He said as a pan-Africanist musician who has consistently represented Ghana and the African continent at large, he is prepared to enthrall fans with a exhilarating performance.
“This event holds immense significance in celebrating African talent and fostering unity among nations. Rest assured, I am committed to bringing vibrant energy and electrifying vibes to the stage, ensuring that Saturday’s performance is nothing short of magical. Africa isn’t ready for the spectacle we have in store,” he said.

The African Games, owned and organized by the African Union on behalf of its member states, bring together athletes from across the continent every four years, one year before the Olympics.
This year marks the 13th edition of the games which brought together 5000 elite athletes and coaches from fifty-five African countries in twenty-nine selected sports disciplines from 53 countries.
The 13th edition of the African Games will be used as an official qualifier for the XXXIII Olympic Games Paris 2024.
The prestigious event showcases athletic talent, celebrates African cultural values and heritage, and promotes solidarity and integration. Additionally, the Games play a crucial role in fostering social cohesion and a culture of peace within Africa.
