The 2024/25 MTN FA Cup has delivered plenty of surprises, and now two Division One clubs; Golden Kick FC and Attram De Visser, are on the verge of making history.
On Saturday, 10 May 2025, at the TNA Stadium in Tarkwa, these ambitious sides will clash for a chance to reach the final of Ghana’s biggest knockout competition.
This semi-final guarantees that for only the third time in recent years, a second-tier team will reach the FA Cup final. FC Nania made history by winning it in 2011, while Okwahu United and Bofoakwa Tano reached the final in 2016 and 2021 respectively.
Both teams have had impressive journeys. Attram De Visser, known for their youth development, knocked out Premier League side Bibiani Gold Stars and then beat Pac Academy to book their semi-final spot. They’ve shown attacking strength, scoring five goals and keeping two clean sheets along the way.

Golden Kick FC have taken a different approach. The Accra-based side has built their campaign on strong defending. They’ve conceded just once in five matches and pulled off shock wins over top-tier clubs Accra Hearts of Oak and Karela United. Their solid backline has made them tough to break down.

Saturday’s match is expected to be tightly contested, with contrasting styles likely to shape the outcome. Attram De Visser prefer to attack with pace and creativity, while Golden Kick focus on structure and discipline. Midfield control will be key, and whichever team settles quickly could take the upper hand.
A win would mean a place in the final and a shot at silverware, making this one of the biggest matches in both clubs’ history.
