Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, will this afternoon brief the nation on the findings of investigations into the killings and violence that occurred during the 2020 and 2024 elections.
The briefing, scheduled for 2 p.m., follows a directive from President John Dramani Mahama in January this year, asking the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to investigate the incidents and identify those responsible.
In a post, Government spokesperson, Felix Ofosu Kwakye explained that the briefing will provide details of the investigation report and outline the actions taken against the perpetrators.
He said the government remains committed to ensuring justice for victims and preventing similar incidents in future elections.
The briefing is expected to shed light on key findings, recommendations, and the measures being put in place to strengthen electoral security across the country.
