The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has dismissed recent media reports suggesting that Nana Yaw Duodu, also known as Dr. Sledge of Godridge Ghana Limited, has been cleared of corruption.
In a statement released via its X handle, the OSP emphasized that no criminal charges have been filed against Dr. Sledge, and no court has ruled on his guilt or innocence. The ongoing investigation centers on the operations of the Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF) between 2020 and 2024, including activities linked to Dr. Sledge.
The probe involves transactions amounting to approximately USD 94 million. In 2025, the OSP froze vehicles belonging to Dr. Sledge valued at GHC 18 million. While the High Court refused in January 2026 to confirm the asset freeze, the OSP has since taken legal measures to challenge that decision and has successfully re-secured the assets. The vehicles remain under the Office’s authority and protection, as investigators continue to trace and freeze other assets suspected to be tainted.
The OSP reiterated that upon completion of the investigation, any individual against whom sufficient evidence is found will be formally arraigned before a court of competent jurisdiction.
