 
                    The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has confirmed the arrest of a soldier seen in a viral video assaulting a drug store attendant and a female customer at a pharmacy located within Burma Camp in Accra.
According to the GAF, the incident occurred on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, and drew widespread public outrage after the footage aired on GHOne TV and circulated across social media platforms.
In a statement issued on Thursday, October 30, 2025, the military said the suspect was arrested at dawn by personnel of the Ghana Military Police and is currently assisting in investigations.
The statement added that both victims have received medical attention and are cooperating with investigators.
The Armed Forces assured the public that it remains committed to upholding discipline within its ranks and will not shield any soldier involved in acts of misconduct.
“The Armed Forces assures the general public that it will not condone any acts of assault on civilians and will not shield any soldier engaged in such,” the statement emphasized.
