To ensure that people in rural communities get access to quality health care, The Saviour Church of Ghana with its headquarters at Osiem in the Eastern Region has cut the sod to construct a 100-Bed hospital at Wuruyie in the Adansi South District of the Ashanti region.
The Leader and General Superintendent of the Church, Osofo Panin Abraham Kwaku Adusei, said he saw it as a responsibility to ensure that people in all the 11 zones of the Saviour Church of Ghana have access to hospital, hence the Wuruyie zone was captured for the project.
He stated that government alone cannot provide all the needs of the people and as a result he and his executives have put in place strategies to support the state by way of building schools and hospitals.
The General Superintendent expressed his appreciation to the chief of Dompoase, Okofo Kwabena Bonsu for the donation of the land for the hospital project.

The Guest of Honour, Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia, Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) commended the leadership of the Church for investing heavily in Education, Health and Agriculture.
He noted that since Osofo Panin Abraham Adusei became the head of The Saviour Church of Ghana, it has witnessed many positive developments.
Mr. Asiedu Nketia mentioned the establishment of a Senior High School and a Nursing Training College, among others.
He assured the Church that upon the completion of the hospital, government would partner it to get the right health professionals to man it.
The Chairman of Committee on Health and Environment of the Church, Dr. Samuel Adusei, noted that since the Church established a hospital at Osiem, many people in the Eastern Region have benefited from it and expressed the hope that a lot of people in the Adansi South District would soon benefit from the Wuruyie hospital project.
He stated that the facility would be completed in two years’ time. The Dompoase chief, Okofo Kwabena Bonsu, who chaired the function expressed satisfaction over the decision of the Church to establish a hospital in his jurisdiction.
He said, apart from offering the large track of land for the hospital, he had also given out similar plot for the establishment of a school in the area.
The Divisional Chief expressed regret over the fact that there are no meaningful developments in the Wuruyie enclave and extended invitation to the government to come and invest there and help open up the area.
