
The Atwima Kwanwoma District Assembly has confirmed Ms. Grace Agyemang Asamoah as the District Chief Executive, with an overwhelming 100% approval of the President’s nomination.
Ms. Asamoah attained 100% of the votes cast required to be confirmed as the DCE after all 47 members voted in her favour last Friday.

The Assembly with 48 members comprising 33 Assembly members and 15 appointees, had one absentee, hence the 47 votes cast.
Ms. Grace Agyemang Asamoah expressed her sincere gratitude to H.E. John Dramani Mahama for giving her the opportunity to serve the chiefs, people, party sympathisers and well wishers of Atwima Kwanwoma for their support, noting that she is “very humbled” by the recognition.
Ms. Asamoah assured the President and the people that she would not let them down.
The newly elected DCE acknowledged the high expectation of the people and assured that with the support of the Central government, the Member of Parliament and stakeholders, she shall succeed.
She hinted that she will outline her developmental agenda for the District for evaluation and implementation at the appropriate time.
Ms. Asamoah commended the previous NPP administration for upgrading the District to a yet to be gazetted Municipal status assured that she would work with the MP to finalise the implementation of if the gazette.
At the event was Kofi Namakwa-Manu, MP for Atwima Kwanwoma, Nananom and NDC Constituency Executives, amongst others.
