Defending champions Ghana’s U15 girls’ team, the Black Damsels, are gearing up to defend their title at the CAF African Schools Football Championship finals.
The 2026 edition of the tournament will be held in Maputo, Mozambique, from April 2 to April 10, bringing together some of the continent’s most promising young talents.
Organised by the Confederation of African Football, the championship has become a key platform for youth development, promoting grassroots football and offering young players the opportunity to compete at a high level.
The Black Damsels head into the competition with confidence after their historic triumph in the previous edition, a success that highlighted Ghana’s growing influence in women’s youth football.
The team, assembled through collaboration between the Ghana Football Association and the Ghana Education Service, is expected to face strong opposition from across the continent as they seek to retain their crown.
