The University of Ghana Corporate Football League (UGCFL) returned on Friday, February 13, 2026, at the University of Ghana Stadium, with thrilling action in Group A.
Before the official kick off, fans were treated to an engaging curtain-raiser featuring four diaspora halls. Dr Hilla Limann Hall and Alexander Kwapong Hall combined to face Jean Nelson Aka Hall and Elizabeth Frances Sey Hall in a lively and competitive encounter. After an evenly contested match, Team Alexander Kwapong/Dr. Hilla Limann secured a 2â0 victory, with both goals coming in the second half from Abdul-Fatau Sanusi and Stephen Kofi Adjei.
Defending champions Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) began their title defence with a solid 2â0 win over Lancaster University Ghana. GCAA dominated early proceedings, and their pressure paid off when Gideon Kamasah broke through Lancaster’s defence to score the opening goal. Shortly after, Kofi Aboagye added the second to put the champions firmly in control before halftime. Lancaster pushed for a response in the second half, but GCAA’s defence held firm to secure the clean sheet and victory.
Ghana Football Association (GFA) were held to a 1â1 draw by newcomers GOIL PLC. GOIL broke the deadlock in the first half after an end-to-end start. GFA responded strongly after the break and equalised through a well-worked free kick, assisted by former Asante Kotoko player Eric Donkor, with the goal scored by Joseph Tetteh Zuta. Assistant Ghana national football team coach John Paintsil was later introduced as GFA searched for a winner, but the points were ultimately shared.
Bui Power Authority delivered a commanding performance to defeat the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) 2â0, scoring once in each half to secure all three points. Williams Mensah opened the scoring, before Ebenezer Tetteh sealed the victory with a second-half goal.
Hosts University of Ghana were edged 1â0 by the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC). Despite dominating possession and creating several chances, UG failed to convert. GNPC capitalised on a swift counter-attack midway through the second half, with Evans Mensah scoring the decisive goal.
The final match of the night saw Ghana Armed Forces Officers Sports Club overwhelm Stanbic Bank Ghana in a one-sided contest. Early goals from Lac Mensah AG and Lac Gabby Teye gave them a strong two-goal advantage. The introduction of top scorer Sgt. Michael Amu at halftime changed the game entirely, as he quickly made his presence felt in attack. Meanwhile, Sgt Amoh Michael added two goals to cap a dominant attacking display.
With the win, Ghana Armed Forces Officers Sports Club have now set their sights on breaking their record of 22 goals in the 2025 UGCFL season.
