Medeama SC defender Kamaradini Mamudu shared his disappointment on Monday after the team dropped points in their Ghana Premier League encounter against Basake Holy Stars.
In the Week 15 fixture played at TnA Stadium, the Yellow and Mauves had to rally from behind to score late to secure a point from a 1-1 draw.
Speaking in his post-match interview, Kamaradini Mamudu lamented over missed chances, arguing that Medeama SC would have earned all three points if they had been clinical in front of goal.
Despite his disappointment in the result, the highly-rated defender commended his teammates for fighting to avoid a defeat from a game he described as very tough.
“I have to congratulate my teammates because it wasn’t easy. The opponent came and sat back, and we couldn’t penetrate. If we were clinical, we could have won. It’s part of the game, so we are okay,” Kamaradini Mamudu said.
The draw with Holy Stars saw Medeama SC missing out on the chance to go top of the Ghana Premier League standings.
The Tarkwa-based side currently sits second with 27 points, just one behind leaders Aduana FC.
