Medeama Sporting Club defender Fatawu Sulemana has emphasised that the team is determined to overcome Basake Holy Stars in their upcoming clash in the Ghana Premier League.
Speaking in a pre-match interview, the defender disclosed that players are keen on denying Holy Stars any points from the Week 15 fixture.
“It’s always a great match when we play Basake Holy Stars. Last season, we beat them home and away. I think they will be coming here to seek a point, but we will not allow that,” Sulemana told Medi TV.
The versatile defender continued, “We urge the supporters to come to the stadium, and we will beat them on Monday.”
The Week 15 fixture between Medeama SC and Basake Holy Stars is scheduled to kick off at 4 pm on Monday, December 22, and TnA Stadium.
A win for the host could propel the side to the summit of the Ghana Premier League standings, if leaders Aduana FC drop points this weekend.
