Austrian defender of Ghanaian descent, Samson Baidoo, has been named in the French Ligue 1 Team of the Week for Game Week 11, put together by WhoScored.com.
The youngster was in action for his RC Lens side over the weekend when they hosted FC Lorient.
In the match played on Sunday, Samson Baidoo impressed with his strong defensive displays and scored in the 89th minute to seal an emphatic 3-0 victory for the hosts.
His standout performance earned him a rating of 8.22 at the end of the encounter, a score that has now earned him a place in the Team of the Week.
Samson Baidoo, 21, has been a delight to watch in the French Ligue 1 since the 2025/26 campaign commenced.
The former Red Bull Salzburg defender now has two goals and two assists after making 10 appearances this term.
He is gradually making a name for himself in Ligue 1, with some of Europe’s top clubs said to be keeping tabs on him.
