Ghana international midfielder Kwasi Sibo is bent on keeping his place at Spanish outfit, Real Oviedo.
Sibo has struggled to command regular starting role at Real Oviedo since his Black Stars breakthrough in September 2025. Out of eleven matches in the La Liga this season, the bulky midfielder has made just six appearances.
However, Sibo, who has won the heart of many football fanatics in Ghana has promised to fight for his place at Oviedo, knowing that consistent game time at club level will be crucial for his inclusion in the national team.
“I am going to fight for my place at Oviedo to play more regularly every weekend,” he declared. “That’s one thing I’m focusing on â working hard to be in the team every weekend to play in the league.” He told Graphic Sports.
Drafted late into the Black Stars due to Partey’s fitness concerns and Elisha Owusu’s suspension before the Mali clash in Accra on September 8, Sibo seized his opportunity, playing full throttle on his debut and also earning praises from head coach Otto Addo.
Despite recently establishing himself as a key member of the Black Stars, the bulky midfielder is determined to do more at club level.
