Nations FC head coach Frimpong Manso has commended his players for putting up a spirited performance on Friday to secure a crucial point from their Ghana Premier League clash against Bechem United.
The former Gold Stars coach led his new team into the Week 8 encounter today, having only been appointed three days ago.
Despite the limited time with the team, Frimpong Manso was able to prepare his side to hold Bechem United to a goalless draw at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Stadium.
Speaking in his post-match interview, the highly-rated tactician was full of praise for his players, stressing that taking a point away from home is very important.
“It was a very good game. It’s a game we fought for because Bechem United needed to win at all costs, and so they were putting a lot of pressure on us. For me, it’s a very important point for us. The boys have done so well,” Frimpong Manso said.
The coach will now be aiming for a win in Nations FC’s next Ghana Premier League match against Hohoe United.
That match will be played at Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex on November 9.
