Communication Director of Asante Kotoko, Sarfo Duku has refused to give up on qualification ahead of their CAF Confederation playoff against Wydad Casablanca, insisting the Porcupine Warriors will put up a strong fight in the return clash in Morocco.
The Ghana giants head into the return clash, scheduled for Friday, October 24, 2025 at the Mohammed V Sports Complex with a one goal deficit after falling short in the first leg of the second preliminary round, held at the Accra Sports Stadium last Sunday.
Speaking ahead of the game in the North African country, Sarfo Duku affirmed his outfit will go all out to grind results.
“We will go all out against Wydad in Morocco. We will open up and play them. Truth be told, we are going to put up a strong fight to grind results. It is going to be difficult but we are determined to do our best in the second leg” he told Kessben FM.
The Asante Kotoko contingent led by coach Abdul Karim Zito landed at the Mohammed V International Airport on Wednesday morning as they gear up for the high-stake clash against the Moroccan giants.
Kotoko traveled with 20-man squad, with notable players like Albert Amoah, Samba O’Neil, Patrick Asiedu, Peter Amidu, and Emmanuel Antwi making the cut.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Mohammed Camara, who is suspended for the return leg has been included in the traveling squad.
As mandated by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Kotoko will train at the match venue on Thursday before the crucial clash on Friday evening.
