Ghanaian youngster Edmund Baidoo was on target for Red Bull Salzburg in their 2-2 draw against SCR Altach in the Austrian Bundesliga on Sunday afternoon.
The 19-year-old forward continued his impressive run of form, finding the back of the net at the Red Bull Arena to help his side secure a point despite being reduced to ten men early in the game.
Altach took the lead in the 34th minute through Austrian midfielder Patrick Greil, who calmly converted from the penalty spot.
However, Salzburg equalised four minutes before the break courtesy of Bosnian teenager Kerim Alajbegovic, who was teed up by Karim Onisiwo.
Baidoo gave Salzburg the advantage just a few minutes after the restart with a fine finish, capitalising on a defensive lapse to make it 2-1.
But Malian striker Ousmane Diawara struck late in the 80th minute to deny Salzburg all three points.
The Austrian champions had to battle for much of the game with ten men after defender Joane Gadou was sent off in the 22nd minute following a second yellow card.
Baidoo’s goal takes his season tally to two goals and one assist in nine league appearances, underlining his growing influence in Gerhard Struber’s youthful Salzburg setup.
