Black Starlets head coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, inspired students of SOS-Hermann Gmeiner International College in Tema Community 6 with a career guidance session on Friday, October 17, 2025.
Dr Ogum, who recently guided the Black Starlets to their first AFCON qualification since 2017 during the WAFU B U17 Championship in Ivory Coast, was invited to speak on career development and purposeful decision-making among young people.
Sharing insights from his journey as a sports psychologist, educationist, and professional coach, Dr Ogum urged students to pursue their passions with discipline, resilience, and integrity. He reminded them that success has many paths and encouraged them to align their career choices with their strengths and values.
“Every student has a unique talent and purpose,” he said. “It’s important to identify what drives you and stay committed to it, even when challenges come your way.”
Students and faculty described the session as enlightening and motivating, noting that Dr Ogum’s message reinforced the importance of education, focus, and mentorship in achieving lifelong goals.
